In response to the tidy discussion, my mom was a totally obsessive cleaner.
She would dust and vacuum every day. Dishes could not sit in the sink more than 20 minutes. She even ironed blue jeans…..
Anyway, she had this plaque on her spotless desk that said "a cluttered desk is the mark of a genius"
I am not sure what that implied…..
